Livelihood Support for Gajalia village Common Forest & Biodiversity Conservation Project

Objectives :
  • Strengthen the forest user group (FUG) of Gazalia VCF for effective management and conservation of VCF and for operation of a micro-credit system for the forest dependent community.
  • Increase access of poor forest dependent ethnic people to credit support for alternative income generation activities through establishment of community managed micro-credit and saving system.
  • Enhance awareness and compliance of forest-dependent community people for forest conservation and adopt alternative livelihood through extensive communication and social mobilization activities.
  • Increase capacity of 100 ethnic members from disadvantaged forest dependent families for successful adaptation of alternative livelihood in line with their traditional practice and way of living.
