Conservation and Protection of Dhanpata Village Common Forest (VCF) project in Khagrachari Hill District.

Objectives :
  • To improve the realization about the importance of forest for human being and ecological balance conducting necessary awareness events for the project participants.
  • To establish effective and efficient management of the target forest providing training on organizational management to forest conservation committee.
  • To develop skill and capacity of 77 villagers (families) adjacent to VCF to adapt to IGAs, providing necessary training.
  • To enable the users group to have access for credit support for their IGAs establishing their own revolving fund.

  • Completed baseline survey of the community
  • Completed resource mapping
  • Conducted Trainings on livelihood skill development for the targeted beneficiaries.
  • Prepared and followed VCF guideline for the community.
  • Conducted regular awareness raising monthly VCF committee meeting and with the community
  • Distributed and planted various types of saplings among the households.
  • Conducted group management training on issues like ODM & RLF
