About the Book: The book starts with an introduction to the concept covering a bibliography of tiger. The world’s largest and most bio-diverse mangrove swamp forest – Sundarbans’ short description has been provided later on. The relations of ‘Tiger and prey densities’, ‘Prey selection by tigers’, ‘Habitat preference by tigers’ and ‘Breeding of tigers’ has been described independently in other chapters. Special emphasis has been given on particularly Sundarbans’ ‘Tiger-human conflict’. The book ends with a brief on ‘Future for Tigers of the Sundarbans’.
