Communication Specialist - Climate Resilient Participatory Afforestation & Reforestation Project (CRPARP)

Ms. Farhana Khan Pushpa has joined Arannayk Foundation in September 2013 as Assistant Program Officer (Training and Communication). Currently, she is managing the communications activities of the Climate Resilient Participatory Afforestation & Reforestation Project (CRPARP) as ‘Communication Specialist’ from November 2014.

Previously, she has supported in handling the AF-ICIMOD collaborative project of ‘Capacity development of Key stakeholders of Chittagong Hill Tracts’ on ‘Adaptation to Change including Climate Change issues’ along with managing the communication of Arannayk Foundation. Before joining Arannayk Foundation, she worked as Senior Officer (PR & Publication) at JAAGO Foundation. Her practical experience in the field includes working on Climate Change adaptation, Education Awareness and Community Forestry with organizations like Wildlife and Nature Conservation Society of Bangladesh (WNCSB), British Council funded project INSPIRE, Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs (HECUA). She has attended ‘One month Certificate Training Course on Applied Conservation Biology and Co-Management’ under IPAC Project, Supported by USAID in 2012.

Ms. Khan holds a Master’s in Natural Resources Management and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Management from Independent University, Bangladesh. While studying at Independent University, Bangladesh she has worked as Graduate Assistant to the Dean of School of Environmental Science and Management (IUB), Language Partner at Bangla Language Institution (BLI) and has also received several academic distinctions (Dean’s award, Dean’s Merit award, Vice Chancellor’s award) from the University.
