About Arannayk Foundation

Arannayk Foundation, also known as the Bangladesh Tropical Forest Conservation Foundation, is a not-for-profit organization established in 2003 through a joint initiative of the Governments of Bangladesh and the United States. Registered under Section 28 of the Bangladesh Companies Act 1994, it promotes the conservation, protection, restoration, and sustainable use of tropical forests across the country. The Foundation provides both financial and technical assistance to various stakeholders engaged in forest and biodiversity conservation, while also implementing projects funded by national and international development partners.

 

Job Context

Arannayk Foundation is a leading organization working to promote sustainable forest conservation, biodiversity protection, climate resilience, and community development in Bangladesh. The Foundation implements collaborative programs with government, development partners, NGOs, CSOs, academia, and community-based organizations.

 

To further strengthen its communication, visibility, and stakeholder engagement, Arannayk Foundation is seeking a dynamic and motivated Communications and Advocacy Associate. This position will support the organization in strengthening its visibility, knowledge, communication, branding, and stakeholder outreach through digital, print, and multimedia formats.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Under the overall guidance from the Executive Director and the Head of Programs of Arannayk Foundation and under the direct supervision of the Head of Communications and Advocacy, the Communications and Advocacy Associate will be a part of a diversified team and will be responsible for implementing the project activities.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES

 

1. Digital Media Management

  • Produce content according to the content calendar, including text, visuals, short/full length videos, and infographics that reflect project impacts, partner collaborations, and environmental messages.
  • Support and regularly update Arannayk Foundation’s official social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube).
  • Track engagement metrics and prepare monthly social media analytics reports.
  • Support the design and execution of digital campaigns on themes such as forest restoration, plastic pollution, biodiversity conservation, and climate resilience.

 

2. Website, Newsletter, and Publications

  • Assist in updating the Arannayk Foundation website with project stories, and key resources.
  • Support the production of E-newsletters, blog articles, and success stories for publication and donor circulation.

3. Media Relations and Visibility

  • Draft press releases, and success stories for national and regional outlets.
  • Monitor media coverage related to forestry, climate change, and biodiversity; prepare regular media monitoring summaries.
  • Assist in coordinating interviews, press briefings, and donor visibility activities.

 

4. Field Documentation and Storytelling

  • Visit project sites to capture field updates, human-interest stories, and visual documentation (photos, interviews, short clips).
  • Work closely with project teams, local partners, and videographers to gather authentic stories and testimonials that highlight community impact.
  • Produce audio-visual materials, from start to finish, ensuring alignment with AF’s brand tone and donor requirements.

 

5. Content and Knowledge Management

  • Assist in organizing and achieving media files, photos, videos, and publications in the Foundation’s shared drives for easy access.
  • Ensure that all communication materials are stored with proper metadata, consent, and copyright documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of communication assets such as brochures, posters, event backdrops, and campaign materials in coordination with design vendors.

 

6. Event Communication Support

  • Support project and organizational events, workshops, and campaigns by handling visibility materials, photography, and on-site documentation.
  • Coordinate with vendors for printing, branding, and logistic arrangements.
  • Prepare post-event summaries highlighting outcomes, key messages, and media visibility.

 

POSITION SPECIFICATION – Communications and Advocacy Associate

 

Qualifications & Experience required for the position

 

1.    Formal/Academic Education

  • Minimum bachelor's (in any subject), Master's preferred.



2.    Working experience

  • Minimum two (02) years of professional experience in communication, graphic design, videography, or media production with NGOs, development projects, or reputable organizations.

 

3.    Skills & Experience

  • Must have:
    • Advanced knowledge in Adobe Creative Suit (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects);
    • Proven skills in photography and videography;
    • Strong understanding of social media management (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube).

 

 

  • Desired:
    • Knowledge in using E-Newsletter platforms (Mailchimp, MailerLite, Sender, etc)
    • Drone operation
    • 2D/3D animation.
    • Knowledge management
    • Image and raw footage archiving

 

4.    Language skills (Necessary to perform the job)

  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla.
  • Ability to write content suitable for media and communication materials.

 

5.    Appointment type

Salary

·       Consolidated monthly salary: BDT 34,264 – 40,810, including all benefits.

 

Workstation

·       Arannayk Foundation Head Office in Dhaka, with frequent travel to project sites.

·       01 September 2026 - 31 August 2027, initially for one year with the possibility of extension depending on performance and organizational requirements.
